SEASE was born from the sea.
Today, it takes a further step towards protecting its native element, putting its textile research at the service of science for an expedition to Svalbard.Between late July and early August 2026, in the heart of the Norwegian Arctic, an explorer vessel by ICON Yachts sailed the waters of the Svalbard archipelago. Not simply a journey, but a research mission: on board, a team of scientists coordinated by the non-profit International SeaKeepers Society collected essential data on marine life and the state of the ocean. The expedition was conceived and managed by Cookson Adventures, pioneers in expeditions to some of the most remote places on the planet, with strategic support from Hyle Consulting. As the official technical sponsor, SEASE equipped the entire team with a high-performance polar kit featuring its iconic Solaro fabric and high-performance natural fibres: a precise balance of protection from the elements, functionality, and unmistakable sartorial style.

The sea is not a seasonal resource, but the place where we were born. It is the starting point for our entire design language: high-performance natural materials, constructions designed for movement, and details created to respond to real conditions. An experience among the Arctic ice represents the most demanding testing ground for our sartorial research. To face polar temperatures and offshore navigation, we developed a dedicated technical kit for the scientific team and guests: garments made from our iconic Solaro fabric and the finest high-performance natural fibres, combining protection from the elements with contemporary elegance. Proof that functionality and refined style can coexist, even at the most extreme latitudes.

At the heart of the collaboration is Katia Griffiths, SEASE ambassador. An Olympic skier with a degree in marine biology, Katia takes centre stage aboard the expedition, bringing an authentic perspective to the project.
